TAKE A VIDEO OR CLICK PICTURES AND MAKE A SLIDESHOW OF YOUR PONGAL CELEBRATIONS ALONG WITH YOUR FAMILY AND SHARE IT WITH US
15 Winners will be chosen and each winner will receive A beautiful traditional bronze(Vengalam) Pongal Paanai filled with treats/goodies sponsored by RATHNA STORES, Ranganathan street, T.Nagar, Chennai. Winners outside Southern California will recieve gift cards of equal value instead of the pot. Winning videos/ Photos will be showcased on our live event on Saturday, January 23rd between 6.30 PM TO 9.00 PM PST.

Competition Purpose: To promote and enhance awareness of Tamil traditional values and culture.
Register by January 16th and submit entry by January 18th
Fee: $5 per entry ( All proceeds will go to Charity) ,you can upload as many entries as you wish.
Venue: At your home (Indoor, Outdoor, park or your preferred location)
Optional Social Media Participation for Super Kudumbam.
One winner will be chosen based on popular choice on social media (Facebook and/or Instagram). The participation details will be announced during the live Pongal event on January 23.
Instructions:
Take a video or create a slideshow of your Pongal Celebrations pictures with your family and upload it here using the form below.
1. The video should be less than a minute in duration
2. You can also use your photos (Minimum 5 and Maximum 10) to make a slideshow, and it should be under one minute duration.
3. You may edit your video or photos and add captions, voiceovers and other details to make it interesting.
4. Upload your video or slide show to google drive and provide access to socaltamilorganization@gmail.com. Share your link in the form below.
5. Our committee members will choose 15 winners based on points allotted for the below criteria
a. Authenticity ( Originality of tradition)(0-10) points
b. Setting. ( How well it is traditionally decorated, presented )(0-5) points
c. Aesthetics.(0-5) points( how well the video /photo is shot)
d. Costumes/outfit(0-5) points
e. Bonus points for captions, voiceovers and other details.(0-5) points
6. Winners will be announced on our live event on Saturday, January 23rd between 6.30PM to 9PM. We will also present the winning videos/ photos during our event.
7. If you choose to celebrate with friends or extended family, please follow the guidelines laid out by CDC and your local authorities to stay safe and help stop the spread of COVID-19.
8. SoCal Tamil Organization may use the pictures and videos taken at any of our publications, including
website, newsletters, other communications etc.
